Hi, I’m Kerry!
I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor/Canadian Certified Counsellor and founder of KS Neuroaffirming Collective, where we create a non-judgmental, supportive space for neurocomplex and sensitive kids, teens, adults, and families.
My approach and resources weave together my professional expertise AND lived-experience, so I’m not just offering you invalidating textbook knowledge and intangible strategies. Neurocomplexity—namely Autism, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), ADHD, OCD, Giftedness, and Anxiety—is my area of interest and specialization.
That said, I recognize that no diagnostic label can capture your full humanity. I see each person as existing across spectrums of cognition, sensory experience, cellular response, attention, creativity, and intuition—using labels only if and when they feel validating to you.
Therapy should not be a place that heaps more expectations on you. For that reason, my approach is strengths-based, client-led, sensory-aware, interests-driven, low-demand, and tailored to your unique needs and preferences.

What Clients Are Saying About Our Programs
-
"I don’t know if I can fully articulate it, but there’s definitely been a massive shift. Everything opened up for me suddenly. It’s like I went through a “doorway,” and now I have much more capacity to hold space, and to have patience and compassion. When my son gets easily frustrated or when he's having a difficult time, I have a better understanding of the bigger picture and what’s beneath the surface, and now I can create more balance in our lives."
-
"In my decade of teaching experience, I worked with a wide range of children including many students with autism. Kerry’s course completely changed my perspective on neurodivergence. With her guidance, I learned to approach my students with acceptance and celebration, recognizing and embracing their unique strengths and differences. This mindset shift improved the learning experience for my students, and positively impacted their mental well-being. The strategies and techniques taught in this course provide valuable insights for parents and educators of neurodivergent children. I highly recommend Kerry’s work, it was well worth my time and investment."
-
"Before this course, we had made, what felt like, radical decisions to just follow our child's lead and forgo putting them into every therapy and activity because we were supposed to. We felt like we were on the right track by making this decision but everything around us in society was telling us differently. This course reassured us that we were making the best choices for our child by trusting our intuition and to continue trusting ourselves. I learned so much about different parenting styles as well as struggles that other parents experience. It was nice to know that I am not alone. "
-
"I learned so much from Kerry’s course and would highly recommend it to other parents of ND kids. Kerry is an insightful and compassionate facilitator and we have already implemented many of her gentle approaches in our home. The opportunity to learn with Kerry and connect with other families was a real gift, thank you!"
-
"Kerry's info and ideas are by far the most useful and relevant I have come across in relation to parenting and understanding my ND kiddos."
-
"I’ve learned to separate behaviours, and to see that my child is looking for more connection with me. Trying to separate my feelings about the behaviour and see what he’s really needing – that’s been a shift for me."
