OCD creates a cycle of distressing thoughts and urges (sometimes called obsessions and compulsions) that can feel overwhelming. Many people develop routines or behaviors to try to ease the discomfort, but the relief is usually temporary. If this sounds familiar, know that you’re not alone—and that having these thoughts doesn’t mean they reflect who you are.
A supportive approach to working with OCD is Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a well-researched therapy designed to help ease the grip of these patterns over time. We’ll start by exploring your experiences in detail, using a collaborative and judgment-free approach to understand what’s coming up for you. Together, we’ll build a personalized plan to gently face fears and shift responses in a way that feels manageable and empowering.
OCD often involves a lot of doubting. It can make people question all kinds of things—including whether they actually have OCD. If you’re wondering about your experiences, already have a diagnosis, or are somewhere in between, I’m happy to offer a free consultation.
While Ryan is only offering assessments (and not counselling) at this time, he brings his knowledge of OCD into the assessment process.

Ryan has experience supporting neurodivergent youth and adults in both youth care and counseling settings. His work alongside individuals with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) began early in his undergraduate career, and he has since provided therapy to many neurodivergent clients.
Ryan takes a neuro-affirming, person-centered approach, recognizing neurodivergence as a natural and valuable part of human diversity—not something to be “treated” or changed. His practice is rooted in collaboration, flexibility, and autonomy, ensuring that therapy feels safe and accessible. Sessions are adapted to each client’s needs, with low-demand support, the option for movement and breaks, and no expectations around things like eye contact. Clients are welcome to engage in self-regulation strategies that work for them, whether that’s drawing, using building blocks, or any other form of comfort.
While Ryan is not offering counselling at this time, he brings his knowledge of neurodiversity and neuroaffirming practices into his assessment work.
